For the settings of WE Super Cache, I did a few things.
For the “easy settings.”
I did turn on caching.
For the “advance settings.”
I disabled caching for logged-in visitors so that my site should not cache any sensitive information from the user.
I allowed compression so that my site could be sped up. This should make lower loading times which will improve user experience.
I also let the cache rebuild. This will allow the cache to rebuild when a new file is made, making it more accessible since it will be completed automatically, and I may forget myself.
I allowed 304 browser caching so that, once again, it can speed up the site for the user. Since it will let the computer know there have not been any updates and will not have to download anything new.
I allowed mobile device support because, in today’s world, many people access sites using mobile devices. Not having support for them limits your users and may make people never use the site since you lose usability.
The garbage collection is set to be off, so it does not clash with my preload settings.
I have jetpack installed for the CDN settings, so it covers everything on this page.
The preload settings I have set it so that the preload is activated. This will allow users to get a cached site.
For the plugin settings, I made sure that I had to jetpack activated so that it works together.
For the score from boost, I did have a few problems. The requirement was to get the site to over 100, but the highest I could get for the web version was 93. While this does not meet the requirements for the assignment, it is still good overall. I am lacking with the mobile version, with a score in the 60s, which means that my site is not optimized, and I need to work on making it better for mobile. My site is not responsive, so I need to work on making it a better experience for mobile users because, as I said earlier, mobile is a common way to view and interact with sites not being optimized to handle those devices will lose me, users.
